What is a filter regulator?
The filter and pressure regulator can be purchased as separate components or in the form of a filter regulator, a combination of filter and pressure regulator. This variant offers the advantage of reduced space requirements compared to two separate individual devices.
How does a filter regulator work?
Conventional compressed air filtration with water separation takes place in the lower section of a filter regulator. This section consists of a 40 or 5 µm filter element and the condensate drain. The downstream pressure regulator is located directly above this. Similar to compressed air filters, filter regulators must always be installed in a vertical position due to the condensate and the condensate drainage device.
