Start-up valve
Set filling time

When the system is started up, the start-up valve prevents a sudden pressure build-up. The filling time can be changed at the adjusting screw. The location of the screw varies depending on the size.

Step 1
Remove the adjustment protection (a) (if present).

Step 2
Turn the adjusting screw (e.g. with the screwdriver) clockwise to lengthen filling time or anticlockwise to shorten it.

Step 3

Press the adjustment protection (a) into the adjusting screw (if present).

Setting the pressure

Setting the pressure

Step 1
Pull the hand wheel (a) up.

Step 2
Set the desired pressure by turning the hand wheel.

Step 3
Push the hand wheel down. This will lock it again.

To readjust the pressure, the securing lugs must be completely retracted.

Retract the securing lugs

Turn the upper rim of the hand wheel clockwise until the securing lugs have been completely retracted.

Locking the hand wheel

Locking the hand wheel
The hand wheel of the pressure control valve can be secured with a padlock (BG1 - BG4) in order to prevent unauthorized alteration of the pressure setting.

BG1 - BG4

Step 1
Push the hand wheel down.

Step 2
Turn the upper rim of the hand wheel anticlockwise into the locking position. The securing lugs are extended.

Step 3
Hang the padlock on one of the securing lugs and lock it.

Semi-automatic and
fully automatic condensate drain

Compressed air may be impaired by condensate.
Semiautomatic condensate drain only empties condensate when the container is depressurized. During prolonged operation, the condensate may rise above the maximum filling level and reach the compressedair system. This may damage the compressed-air system. Check the level in the collecting tank regularly. Drain off the condensate manually when it has reached the maximum filling level. Do not drain off the condensate into the environment in an uncontrolled manner.

  • Check the fill level in the collection container regularly.
  • Drain the condensate manually when it has reached the maximum fill level.
  • Do not discharge the condensate into the environment in an uncontrolled manner.

Semiautomatic condensate drain
Semiautomatic condensate drain closes at a pressure of >1.5 bar and opens at an operating pressure of <1.5 bar.

Setting automatic operation:
Unscrew the drain plug fully anticlockwise.
The screw may remain with one turn in the thread or be completely removed.

Emptying condensate manually:
The container may also be emptied manually.
Turn the drain plug fully clockwise (closed).
Turn the drain plug a few turns anticlockwise until condensate flows out.

When the drain plug is fully screwed in, automatic drainage is blocked.

Fully automatic condensate drain
NO “Normally Open” design
In the “Normally Open” design, condensate drain closes at a pressure of >1.5 bar and opens at an operating pressure of <1.5 bar. The valve opens automatically as soon as the fl oat reaches its maximum level and closes again when the fl oat reaches its minimum level.

Setting automatic operation:
Turn the drain plug fully clockwise as far as the limit stop.

NC “Normally Closed” design
Condensate drain is closed regardless of the operating pressure. The valve opens automatically as soon as the float reaches its maximum level and closes again when the float reaches its minimum level.

Emptying condensate manually:
The condensate may also be emptied manually when it reaches its maximum filling level. Turn the drain plug fully anticlockwise.

Installing / replacing
the manometer

Before starting up

  • Let the product become acclimatized for a few hours before starting up, otherwise condensation may occur in the housing.
  • Ensure that all electrical and pneumatic connections are either occupied or sealed.

Only put a completely installed product into operation.

Gauge with crush ring

Step 1
Mounting the gauge by screwing it in as far as it will go (AF 14 open-ended spanner).

Step 2
Line up the manometer by a maximum 3/4 turn in. Maximum torques: 7 – 8 Nm.

Gauge with PTFE (seal)

Step 1
Mounting the gauge by screwing it in as far as it will go (AF 14 open-ended spanner).

Step 2
Line up the manometer Maximum torques: 7 – 8 Nm.

Sealing of the gauge by sealing tape

Step 1
Wrapping of the gauge thread by 5-layer sealing tape.

Step 2
Pressing on the sealing tape by hand.

Step 3
Screwing in the gauge (approx. 4 turns) and align.

Caution: Do not turn back the gauge!

Installing of the
pressure sensor

size 0-2

Step 1
Insert the shaped seal (a) into the sealing ring (b).

Step 2
Place the pressure sensor (c) on the flange and screw it down firmly (~2,5 Nm).

size 4

Step 1
Insert the o-ring (d) 5x1,5 into the sealing ring (e).

Step 2
Place the pressure sensor (f) on the flange and screw it down firmly (~2,5 Nm).
