What is a compressed air
maintenance unit?
Compressed air maintenance units consist of a compressed air filter, a pressure regulator and a lubricator and are also referred to as "FRL" - an abbreviation for filter, regulator and lubricator. In compressed air systems, these units help to optimize the efficiency and service life of pneumatic tools.
The main tasks of a compressed air maintenance unit include cleaning the compressed air as an operating medium from liquid and solid components, regulating the pressure and supplying oil to lubricate compressed air-operated tools or machines.
It is also possible to add further functions through so-called system extensions. Such extensions include switching valves, start-up valves, distributors or flow meters.
